Air Movers

Air movers come in two types and are fitted to assist the airflow pattern across the coalface or to prevent roll-back of dust on the conveyor belt.

The water-powered air mover uses a hollow cone spray mounted in a short length of tubing. The action of the water spray induces airflow through the tube, which can be directed as required.  As well as assisting in the airflow, the water spray also assists in dust suppression.

The hydraulically driven fan type air mover gives a more powerful airflow, particularly useful on single pass machines. It can, if necessary, also be fitted with a spray nozzle.
